Please be advised that hydrant flushing will take place over a six week period. Beginning July 2^nd hydrants will be flushed west of Emma St. Starting July 22^nd  hydrants will be flushed east of Emma St. Hydrant flushing will be finished no later than August 9^th.

The routine maintenance program is necessary to maintain the integrity of the water system, remove sediment from water mains, verify the proper operation of hydrants, valves, and maintain firefighting capability. This year fire flow ratings will be done followed by hydrant painting.

Residents throughout Town may experience a drop in water pressure and water may be rusty or cloudy due to flushing of the distribution system. If you have rust- coloured water please run your cold water taps only (suggested taps: outside hose, bathtub or laundry tub) for a few minutes until the water is clear. 

Please do not use your hot water until you have clean running water again. Refrain from doing laundry especially whites when hydrant flushing is being conducted in your area.
